Peru-Chile FTA to take effect March 1

A free trade agreement between Peru and Chile is slated to enter into force March 1. International Trade Daily reports that the FTA provides for nearly all remaining tariffs on two-way trade to be eliminated by 2016 and includes provisions on immigration, services and investment.
In related news, Peru and Japan have agreed to begin talks on a bilateral FTA in March.
