Cultural misunderstandings between foreign business partners can limit a company's ability to succeed in foreign markets. Cross-Cultural Training programs can help you avoid these problems by providing relevant and useful information on country-specific business etiquette, hosting international visitors, hiring foreign nationals, and acclimating expatriate workers. The KWTC can also assist those in the tourism industry through the translation of signs and other written materials, as well as training employees to better serve their foreign clients.Global Sourcing & Import Procedures
This seminar will enable you to source products on a global scale and successfully import them into the United States. You will then be taken through the entire U.S. Customs importation process, learn about U.S. duty deferral programs, and become familiar with the specific payment issues related to importing.Export Documentation
This seminar will touch upon international shipping & logistics issues, while teaching you to accurately prepare each of the most commonly required export documents, such as the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and Shipper's Export Declaration (SED), while highlighting the importance of the bill of lading in international payment transactions. In addition, you will learn how to determine which documents are required for particular foreign markets and products. The seminar will also include an overview of Schedule B product classification, the use of International Commercial Terms of Sale (Incoterms), making the export license determination, and determining if products qualify for preferential duty rates under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).NAFTA Procedures & Rules of Origin

You will also learn about the banking tools which are available to eliminate the risk of currency fluctuation when making or receiving payments in foreign currencies.Incoterms 2000
International Commercial Terms of Sale (Incoterms), most recently revised in 2000, are 13 international terms which define the contractual obligations of a buyer and a seller in an international sales contract.
