Last year, WTD in Louisville attracted over
40 foreign dignitaries from 21 countries, 50 exhibitors and more than
400 attendees from the business community. The featured event is the
KWTC World Trade Success Awards Luncheon organized by the Kentucky
World Trade Center (KWTC) in cooperation with Commerce Lexington and
Kentucky American Water. The June 7th program will also include an
Exhibitor Trade Show and the "Tour the World" dignitary
fair showcasing various countries, with concurrent individual matchmaking
meetings between dignitaries and companies.

Keynote Speaker: WTD 2006 also
brings an exciting new speaker to Kentucky. T.R. Reid, journalist
for the Washington Post, NPR featured commentator, and author of several
books in English and Japanese, including "Confucius Lives Next
Door" and "The United States of Europe: The New Superpower
and the End of American Supremacy" has agreed to present the
keynote address at the awards luncheon. As an added feature and in
partnership with Joseph Beth Booksellers, Mr. Reid will also be signing
copies of his book directly following the event.
