The Kentucky World Trade Center in partnership with the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors led a Real Estate Trade Mission to China this fall.  From October 8 through 16, realtors and other interested professionals from Kentucky visited multiple cities in China, including Shanghai, Dalian and Beijing.  This Mission was designed for members of the real estate sector to gain firsthand experience with China.  During the trip, participants met with the real estate associations in visited cities and also toured selected real estate properties.  Delegations members had the chance to discover opportunities for both real estate development in China and bringing potential Chinese investors to the United States.  The mission delegates established contacts and participated in meetings and consultations with both government officials and realty associations in a number of key Chinese cities pertinent to the real estate market.

Coal & Mining Trade Mission to China '07
October 29 - November 7

Mission delegates prepare to tour coal facilities in Shanxi Province, China.

The Kentucky World Trade Center in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce led a Coal & Mining Trade Mission to China this fall, October 29 through November 7.  The Mission enabled U.S. (and especially Kentucky) companies to evaluate potential market opportunities and to establish contacts or strengthen existing trade relationships in China.  Delegates visited the major metropolises of Shanghai and Beijing, where they met with the China National Coal Association. They also journeyed to Taiyuan, an important city in China’s coal-producing Shanxi Province, where they toured a coal prep plant, coal-blending facility, a surface and underground coal mines.

The Trade Mission coincided with the 13th International Technology Exchange & Equipment Exhibition on Coal, China’s largest international program on coal mining. The Exhibition aims to provide a one-stop platform for the industry to exchange ideas, source products and technology, and establish business contacts.  Several Kentucky companies signed up to exhibit at the Kentucky booth in the U.S. Pavilion.
