“Finding People Who Make a Difference”
“Finding People Who Make a Difference”…… isn’t that what every company leader wants to achieve when hiring and building a team. Companies regularly look off-shore for new opportunities to source, sell and manufacture product. Having a solid plan is vital, having management and staff that can execute that plan is what makes it all work.
How do companies find the right people, how do they find leaders in sales, manufacturing, compliance and logistics? For years company executives have turned to their own human resource departments to search for key management. Finding customs and logistics executives is difficult, Human Resource Managers simply aren’t involved with day to day international activities and aren’t familiar with the proper questions to get the best qualified candidates. Asking technical questions can indicate a candidate’s knowledge of the regulatory and logistics side of the business and filter the less qualified, out of the selection process. Getting the truly knowledgeable candidate can and does save thousands of dollars in logistics and customs related expenses and fines. As a hiring executive you want knowledge, not someone just familiar with regulatory and transit related concerns.
“Finding People Who Make a Difference” is exactly what the Prospect firm of Sanford Rose Associates does for their clients. The firm is managed by Terry McElroy a long time member of the KWTC and a frequent adviser to new startup companies and companies looking to break into or expand their international market. In his role as Managing Partner, Terry now brings that same logistics and customs experience to Sanford Rose Associates and the members companies of the KWTC.
