United States at Keeneland Race Track earlier this year in

14th Annual World Trade Day 2006
|

Some
41 international dignitaries representing 22 nations joined
government and business leaders from throughout the Commonwealth
to celebrate the 14th Annual World Trade Day event on June
7th at the Lexington Convention Center in downtown Lexington.

Leads Successful Trade Mission to China

The
Kentucky World Trade Center (KWTC), in partnership with the
Asia Center of the University of Kentucky, led a successful
trade mission to Beijing, Jiujiang, Nanchang and Shanghai,
China from June 24 - July 2, 2006. The group traveled to Jiujiang,
a major economic center in China who recently was formalized
as a Louisville Sister City in 2004.

the Manda Hill and Arcades shopping centres in Lusaka, it is easy
to forget that you are in Zambia's capital. For those traveling
north from South Africa, the scene is eerily familiar: they can
shop at the Shoprite or Woolworths supermarkets and go for a bite
to eat at Debonair Pizza. MTN pre-paid mobile-phone cards are for
sale at traffic lights and there is a choice of films at the Ster-Kinekor
cinema or on the M-Net satellite-television channel.
