Tax Incentives for Exporters Still Exist
 |
As
a result of the recently enacted American Jobs Creation Act of 2004,
the tax benefits previously available to U.S. exporters by virtue
of the Extraterritorial Income Exclusion (ETI) will be phased out
by the end of 2006. However, there are still provisions of the Internal
Revenue Code that can provide significant tax benefits to the closely
held exporter. CLICK HERE to read more |

Jiujiang, China becomes Louisville’s Seventh Sister City
Mayor Jerry Abramson signed a formal Sister City agreement with Mayor Cai Xiaoming
of Jiujiang, China on September 9, 2004. Jiujiang, China was chosen as a Sister
City because, over twenty years ago, Kentucky and Jiangxi Province, where Jiujiang
city is located, became Sister States.
The
city’s chief economic activities include cotton production, ship-building,
construction materials, oil pressing, and rice processing. Jiujiang
also produces grain, juice, tea, timber, fish, bricks, tiles, and textiles,
and has a large hydroelectric project nearby... Pillar industries such
as the petrochemical, building materials, machinery, textile, garment,
and power industries have been set up, and the infrastructure and investment
environment continues to improve. CLICK HERE to
